- Serge Gnabry struggled to break into the first team during his time at Arsenal
- But now, at Bayern Munich, he has become one of their most important players
- Gnabry however clearly still has a strong affection for his former club Arsenal
It is very much a case of ‘the one that got away’ when it comes to Serge Gnabry’s tenure at Arsenal.
And he hit an electrifying level in the Bundesliga, scoring 11 goals in 27 games and earning a move to German giants Bayern Munich after just one season.

He had another loan – with Hoffenheim – but is now very much established as one of Bayern’s key men.
He has scored 18 goals in 33 games for them this season, including an incredible four-goal haul against Tottenham in the Champions League in October in their emphatic 7-2 victory.
Gnabry endeared himself to Arsenal fans further that day by taking to Twitter and proclaiming: ‘London still Red’ alongside pictures of him celebrating his goals.
